Philanthropy

Currently SLO Skiers is concentrating on active volunteerism. We have been working monthly at the SLO Food Bank as well as doing beach cleanups at several of the local beaches.  If you'd like to jump in and participate please contact: philanthropy@sloskiers.org

Previously SLO Skiers Inc. has allocated $2000 per year for gifting. We selected 4 different organizations per year and gave $500 to each entity. We chose one organization from each of these categories each year: People, Animals, Skiing and Environment. Here are some of the organizations that we have donated to in the past years.

GO See Foundation, an organization that works with vision loss individuals and organizes outings including a trip to China Peak. Allyson Buerger, the founder, (with her guide dog Olga) talked to our club at the August, 2019 meeting.
